Understanding Indian Culture – Workshop for Children in 3 Sessions
Culture roots children to their origins. SRI’s workshops on Indian culture empower children to steer forward with self-assurance, propelled by the wealth of their heritage.
Children delight in SRI’s FUN and supportive environment as they learn about Indian culture: rhythms, movement, painting, yoga and a visit to the temple comprise the building blocks, and an exciting quiz tops it all off!
RESULT: The 3 fun-filled learning, immersive sessions were most rewarding as we saw how much children learnt and could recall! The quiz and rewards were their high-point! And ours was the satisfaction of having exposed them to a magnificent culture!
Dashavatara Children’s Workshop
Children learn about the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu which is an allegorical account of evolution from the Fish to Human form. The stories are creatively told with pictures, involving the children in drawing and colouring, and storytelling with hand gestures. A temple visit reveals the stories depicted on its walls!
